In mid March we have planted over 400 trees kindly donated by the woodland trust. We ask that you keep well away from these trees so that the woodland is able to be enjoyed for many generations to come. These trees are clearly visible and mainly grouped in patches however there are a few scattered around site. Damage that is considered to be intentional or widespread will be charged for.

Our campsite offers ample space for tents with pitches of varying size, allowing you the option of camping in woodland or on an open field. The main camping field can accommodate around 70 people, with 3 smaller pitches each accommodating groups of around 20. We ensure a safe and clean environment, complete with designated fire pits for campfires. The campsite is surrounded by picturesque landscapes, making it perfect for outdoor activities and exploration.

If being out in the cold isn't for you or you simply want additional cooking facilities booking the hut may be the best option for you. It features 3 bunk rooms sleeping 8,8 and 18 respectively, a large hall area for serving food or running some indoor activities. As well as all of this you get access to our fully equipped kitchen which includes fridge, freezer, oven, hob, microwave, toaster, and plenty of utensils. Please note that some appliances indoors run n a pound coin meter, which typically costs groups an extra £5-£10 over the course of a weekend.

Engage in a variety of scouting activities designed to build skills and foster teamwork.On site we have a multi purpose activity area which is free for you to use, it can be used for archery, tomahawk throwing and many other activities. The wooded site lends itself to a back to basics camp embracing traditions. If you fancy something a bit more adventurous there are plenty of facilities nearby including Hoad Hill slab, for climbing, The Wall indoor bouldering room as well as many more activities once you venture further into the Lake District.
