Whats been going on recently?
Wow! What a weekend, with 5 different groups and young people reprsenting each section visiting the site we managed to plant over 400 trees kindly donated by the woodland trust, hopefully with a bit of care these will form some beautiful trees and hedgerows
Tree planting weekend is next weekend so make sure to get in touch to book a place for your group, the event is free and coffee and juice will be provided. Sophie is having a great time looking after the trees before they find their permanent home
And thats a wrap, following a very snowy and pretty cold wintercamp all of the Young people have left. Certainly an event they wil remember, its the snowiest I have ever seen the site. Was great to see Polaris explorers visit the site for the first time as well!
We have recently received a grant of 420 Trees from the woodland trust and are hoping to make a day or weekend for planning them. We are hoping to get as many people from the district involved as possible with the trees arriving in March. more details to follow soon
In an attempt to increase the number of Young people who get outdoor opportunities in 2025 we would like to invite each group within South West Lakes for 1 free midweek evening session. To book this please use the bookig form on the booking page and select free midweek evening
We will be hosting a maintenance weekend 13th-15th December 2024, if you have any time please come and support. Any help is massively appreciated and keeps the site from requiring periods of closure
